Heavy transport is facing a green transition in the coming years in the fight to reduce CO₂ emissions. Today, the possibilities for choosing more sustainable fuels are limited, but this can be changed by turning sewage sludge into fuel. The Project will in different aspects support and the following goals by building up knowledge and technology that is important to reach the targets – read more about the specific goal here
The technology will be developed in a collaboration between Circlia Nordic, Krüger and Aarhus University and the intention is to produce up to 5000 m³ of fuel on the basis of a bio-crude oil extracted from sewage sludge. The plant will be integrated at Fredericia Central Treatment Plant with process expertise from Krüger and Aarhus University. The fuel will be submitted to engine testing for performing analysis.
